Summer 2024

Experience the rich culture of Colombia, characterized by vibrant colors and warm-hearted people. Immerse yourself in the thriving art scene and savor the delicious local cuisine. Our trip will take you to the heart of Bogotá, offering a unique blend of education, language learning at Nueva Lengua, and unforgettable experiences. Below is a sample itinerary for a 4-5 week group education and preservation journey. We also offer customized trips for 2, 3, and 4 weeks.

During this 5-week trip, we will explore five diverse locations in Colombia: Bogotá, Honda|Tolima, Santa Marta, Minca, and the Tyrona National Park. While the majority of the trip will be centered in Bogotá for language learning, we will venture out on weekends to discover the country's stunning sights. (Below is a sample itinerary and it subject to change.)

Week One (arrive on Wednesday):

  • Day 1 (Wed.): Arrive in Bogotá (El Dorado International Airport) | Make way to lodging

  • Day 2 (Thurs.): City tour and market view

  • Day 3 - 5 (Fri. - Sun.): Travel by bus to Honda, Tolima Colombia. Return to Bogota Sunday afternoon.

Week Two:

  • Day 1 (Mon.): 8:30 AM Meet and Greet at Nueva Lengua, Spanish Language School. Class starts at 9:00 AM

  • Day 2 (Tues.): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Nueva Lengua course/lecture. 

  • Day 3 (Wed.): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Nueva Lengua course/lecture

  • Day 4 (Thurs.): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Nueva Lengua course/lecture. 

  • Day 5 (Fri.): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Nueva Lengua course/lecture. 

  • Day 6 (Sat.): Free Morning. Afternoon city art walk. 

  • Day 7 (Sun.): Free Day​

Week Three:

  • Day 1 (Mon.): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Nueva Lengua course/lecture.

  • Day 2 (Tues.): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Nueva Lengua course/lecture. 

  • Day 3 (Wed.): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Nueva Lengua course/lecture

  • Day 4 (Thurs.): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Nueva Lengua course/lecture. 

  • Day 5 (Fri.): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Nueva Lengua course/lecture. 

  • Day 6 - 7 (Sat. - Sun.): Free Weekend

  • Day 1 (Mon.): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Nueva Lengua course/lecture.

  • Day 2 (Tues.): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Nueva Lengua course/lecture. 

  • Day 3 (Wed.): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Nueva Lengua course/lecture

  • Day 4 (Thurs.): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Nueva Lengua course/lecture. 

  • Day 5 (Fri.): 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Nueva Lengua course/lecture. 

  • Day 6 (Sat.): Fly to Santa Marta | Check into hotel. 

  • Day 7 (Sun.): Breakfast before traveling to Minca. Visit Minca Waterfall in the afternoon.  

 

Week Five:

  • Day 1 (Mon.): Travel to Tayrona National Park. Spend entire day hiking and enjoying the park. 

  • Day 2 (Tues.): Fly to Bogotá | Check into hotel. 

  • Day 3 (Wed.): Check out of hotel. Return home via the (Bogotá) El Dorado International Airport
